Makes no difference- you're getting 50% because the ticket was purchased while still a couple.
I agree, that winning the lotto might smooth out a lot of bad feelings/ or stresses in a relationship.

If a fight was enough to break us up, then no amount of money would be worth getting back together. However when you do a divorce, if he won the lottery, that money would be both of ours as we were still married at the time it was won, therefore would be split equally. Either I would get a good lawyer or just let him have it.

It depends what you were fightin about really. If it was about money then there wouldn't be an issue any more so you could probably reconcile but if it was about something else like not loving each other any more then it would be best to still divorce!

Well if that was the case I know he would give me money..We have 3 kids..If it was me who won the lotto, if it was a huge amount I would set him up for life..He took care of me, so I would take care of him.

Since we just DECIDED to get a divorce, I would get half. But to be honest, no amount of money would be worth getting back with him if it wasn't working out in the first place.

That is quite alright, you get your share as part of the divorce. You stand a better chance of getting a hot chick with your newly found wealth.
