the little box where you can donate money for homeless people and starving children. Well ever notice that they are only pennies??? What are pennies gonna do to kids in Affrica.

My question to you is does anybody put anything in higher value then a quarter?? If so do you do it often. This apply for the donnation box at the store only.

Thanks

That money never goes to anyone. Store employees steal it most of the time.

If I see a box or jar etc. like that, whether it be for the homeless, abused animals, or any cause, I'll usually put whatever change I get in it, or if I have some spare change in my pocket. The one thing is, you can't always garauntee that it will go there, so only putting in your spare change is sort of playing it safe. That way, if its real, you're donating something, but if its a scam, you aren't wasting much.

Think of it this way: Even a quarter is a 25 cents those starving kids didn't have yesterday.

I only donate directly then I know it goes to who it was intended for and with some causes if administrative costs are high a few of us buy the equipment they need to use the money to the full.

The only time I put money in one of those boxes is if it is someone local who needs money for medical problems. I usually go straight to the charity of my choice to donate otherwise. :)

I've seen those things stuffed with silver change and single bills. i do think though that people are inhibited by the possibility that it's a fake and doesn't go to charity - more like the store manager.

no... not because i don't want but because i spend the change in the little machines in the supermarket that if you put in a quarter you would get a prize!
