Perhaps you're looking at the wrong parts of the story!
The truth of Goldilocks wasn't that there are certain bears who live in cottages and eat porridge, but that you shouldn't enter houses uninvited. The truth of Charlotte's Web wasn't that a pig could be turned world famous by a magical spider and her web, but that good friends make all the difference in the world. All stories hold truth within them. Sometimes it makes it more interesting to add elaborate details to the truth. Also, it keeps our minds active to have to search the story for these truths or lessons. Quite entertaining. I think also that you're more likely to understand something if you work it out yourself than if someone just says "don't enter strangers houses". The story gives you a clearer picture that that would be wrong.

For sympathy? usually talking, people who lie in regards to the little stuff or make up thoughts (fiction writers do not count variety, lol-they gets a commission to BS you) are tormented by enormously low self self belief. in keeping with possibility you will desire to determine a thank you to savour the lifestyles you have have been given so which you do not would desire to lie. And definite, it is incorrect. you're giving somebody a misunderstanding of who you're. Entertainment value. Don't you watch television or go to the movies? If you do, do you only watch documentaries? If you watch anything past documentaries, you're watching for entertainment value, period. Same with stories that aren't true, entertainment value.

Myths are "true" but they are NOT "fact".
They are a true reflection of the human experience and how we move through it. ALl the people and places and details that are 'facts' are unimportant to what is gained by experiencing myths.
Myths are not a set of facts to be proven 'true' OR disproven as 'false'

Stories are told to entertain and teach you things and all stories have morality meaning within them.............................
There have been entire generation that have been saved because of the story tellers that visit their villages..... There are stories that have taught primitive man on how to fight snake and who know what else.... That is why story tellers were worth their weight in gold... ^Not everything has to be true, it's just for enjoyment, entertainment, sometimes they still teach you something and stretch your imagination. Life would be boring without them.

They teach a lesson or impart information or advice. That's what all fairy tales do. They teach kids about life.
