I'm 20 and it has been 5 months now. I had my first period when I was 12 and it was fine. Every month 3-5 days. When I started high school my periods became out of control, and it is still doing it. For instance, I had a period that lasted a month. Sometimes it will be on time and sometimes it wont. I know I'm not pregnant because I haven't had sex. Do you know what might be wrong. Are there things that can help. Like birth control?? any advice will help a lot. Thanks in advance

You need to see your gynecologist. There could be a very simple problem, or something much more complicated. Either way, get it taken care of.

This is a concern for someone your age. You should see your doctor. This could be from nutritional problems, or it may be that your body is not regulating itself well.
If you do not have your period then you need to be on hormones because as a woman you are much more susceptible to osteoporosis. Five months is a long time.

You should see a doctor for a complete female exam. She/he will probably put you on the Pill to regulate your periods. Sounds like a hormonal problem.

birth control can regulate your period to a more normal cycle. ask your doc which one they think you would like. start with a low estragen then if you have to, work your way higher.
