Hmmm, I don't really believe in 'true love' or that everyone has one out there somewhere.
What I think is there is very possibly someone extremely compatible out there for you, and that you just have to stay aware and logical about how to recognize them.
I also believe that even if people aren't completely compatible, there are certain concessions that we make in every relationship that allow us to let things go when they are not perfect, When we understand that if we are truthful to each other, loving and accepting of our differences, perfect compatibility doesn't matter.
True love is too much of a fairy-tale description of how magnificent a relationship can be, and implies that everything just falls into place perfectly. It is because of this misconstrued image of what love should be and that it shouldn't require any work that we have such a high divorce rate; because the first time something goes wrong, the purity of the relationship is doubted. It is people who get into relationships because of this unmatchable concept of 'true love' that end up having emotionally turbulent relationships, with extreme ups and downs, breakups and makeups, broken hearts and broken furniture.
Love can be awesome, you just have to know how to define how awesome you want it to be.
I know, I'm such a romantic.

Yes, but it may take some time to find that person ... I didn't find my 'soul mate' until I was 46 (he was 39) ... I'm FEMALE by the way, but I don't know what you 'are' so I'm speaking of 'people' not girls or guys ...
