It depends on how hard she hit it. What would a 7 week old hit her head on, unless you dropped her. Check her eyes and make sure the pupils are not dilating and retracting...that could be a sign of a concussion. If her eyes are doing that take her to the ER.

Just wondering how a seven week old would hit her head? But in any case, I say call the dr. at 7 weeks that is a major trauma... atleast I would think so. Do not let her fall asleep for an hour, keep her awake and try to get her to the dr or ER right away.

You didn't provide any details of where and how and how hard your baby hit their head. With a 7 week old baby I wouldn't take any chances and I would call the doc immediately and go to the emergency room.

It depends on how hard the hit was, whether or not there was bruising or bleeding, the surface on which she hit her head, if she's acting differently, and so on.

If it were me, and it was a hard hit (like from a fall, or if she was knocked into something as you were carrying her) I'd take her to the ER. No one is going to be upset with you for being cautious, but they will be if you are negligent.

i dont even have kids and i know that you need to call the doctor. babies skulls aren't fused together yet and it's easier for them to get brain damage or die from head injuries that wouldnt really bother us. you really need to call the doctor and maybe even set up an appointment to get her checked out. you would rather be safe and know that she's healthy than to end up sorry in the long run

I would go to the doctor just to look at her head to make sure it's not swelling or anything!

Maybe I'm overprotective, but I'd take her to the doc's immediately. I would not take any chances with that because she's so young!
