A person who has studied science, especially one who is active in a particular field of investigation

a person who uses observation, experimentation and theory to learn about a subject

A Scientist is one who applies the Status quo of knowledge for the Good of mankind. It is a profession just like any other profession it comes with a salary. however the Rewards go beyond the Salary .
