Then it's time to see a doctor.

There are MANY reasons why a woman can be late, but by 8 weeks your hormone levels would be high enough for a HPT to pick up on.

You need to get in for a blood test. Pregnancy is not the only reason for a missed period. Also, if you are having pregnancy symptoms you need to get in for a blood test, because you might be dealing with an etopic (Tubal) pregnancy, and home tests don't always pick up the HCG right away.

Do you know if you ovulated? If you did not ovulate then there is no chance of being pregnant.

However, on the flip side, if you did ovulate & still have not gotten your period, and HPT are still coming back negative, I say its time to go to your OB for a blood test. It is possible that you ovulated much later than you thought & did conceive, but your HCG levels are too low to be detected on a HPT.

Either way, its best to make an appointment.

If, you are very active in sports that can cause you to miss your period. Depending on how active you are you could miss up to 6 months. Have you been to a Dr? I would see a Dr. and find out why.

Stop stressing out. Once you relax, it will come. I have that problem all the time. If I'm late, I freak. Or if work/school has me stressed, I will be late. Don't worry too much, and if it goes much longer, call a doc.
