My inspiration for this question is from "A Tale of Two Cities", wherein one friend sacrifices his own life for that of a friend.

Depends which friend. I would not give my life for just a friend. Only for a best friend.

No,not with a wife and two small children; it just wouldn't be justified. When i was single,yes,depending on which friend.

I can only think of one friend that I would do that for. And that says alot because I have two small children at home. But he is my heart......
