I know you'll deny it, and the retarded among you will accuse him of rape, but you know deep down he was a fantastic pres.

And I hate to be the one to break it to you, but history is already starting to remember him that way.

Perhaps you'd care to list - briefly - three things he did or caused to happen that you consider great.

I think a person would rate actual experience with how life was during these Administrations perhaps quite differently than historical recaps you present. Based on life experience since Eisenhower's second term, Ike created the Interstate systm, a good thing. Kennedy had ideas and moderate fiscal policies, a good thing. Johnson influenced Civil Rights, a good thing; he also expanded a War of Ideology, a bad thing (personal experience). Nixon tried conventional means to win the War, then pulled the plug, ultimately, a good thing. Nixon reached out to our adversaries, a good thing. Nixon was a scumbag, a bad thing. Ford, kept house., Carter, inept and overwhelmed, a bad thing. Reagen, America felt good about everything, hoorah. Bush 1, America went to War with a justification, a plan, an Alliance, execution and exit. America was proud, a good thing. Bush raised taxes, and the economy sank, a bad thing. Clinton was a good economist, saved the Balkens and stopped genocide,a good thing. He missed opportunities with Terroists by being Politically correct, a bad thing. He was a good President that treated Natonal Security as a law enforcement matter, inexperience perhaps, not a good thing. Bush 2 handled 9/11 on behalf of a startled Nation, and thru the Afgan military action, he succeeded, a good thing. He maintained the Iraq UN Resolutions with Britain, a good thing. He went to War on a false impression, a failure of our International Alliance on Security Intelligence, a bad thing. He relied on Rumsfeld's War planning and ignored Collin Powells "overwhelming force doctrine", a bad thing. Bush had an unemployment rate of as little as 4.2% and as high as 6.4%, not bad. He had a Republican Congress, then a Democratic Congress at a time when he, his Administration and most in Congress knew Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were insolvent along with every Insitution they had dealings with, a total break down in Governance, a bad thing.

You need to do a bit more research on your hero Bill Clinton!
One of the major reasons we are at war in Afghanistan is because of the Clintons.

Think I'm a retard or a right-wing nut? Check out the history yourself. Read up on the attempted oil deals with the Taliban and Afghanistan starting in the 80's with the oil company UNOCAL.
And Libs may be right about one thing, this just might be a war for oil that the Clintons, Secy Albright, and the American feminists started.

Conservatives would argue he was not a great president. If you think this is a judgement of history then shouldn't you ask this in the history section? I've heard a variety of media pundits weigh in on both sides but serious historians, while they may presently be gathering information and phrasing questions, will not venture a scholarly opinion for a few decades. FDR is as recent as one can expect to have a serious historical perspective on today.

They will never believe it. And if they did would never admit it.
They will never admit this President was not good for the country either. And they HAVE to believe that. Me on the other hand will admit that Carter was not a good president and neither was Johnson. I am a Democrat, but not blinded by radicals.
Edit: Reagan left the economy in shambles, he did nothing for the unemployment rate except it peaked out at the highest level since the damn depression. He helped the rich get richer, period.

He war a great president. We had the most peace and economic well being than in any other time in U.S. history. We also had the lowest unemployment rate and the lowest inflation in 30 years. There was reduced crime, reduced welfare rolls and he gave the U.S. a budget surplus. He dispatched peace keeping troops to Bosnia and he was successful and also expanded international trade.

What history book are you reading??????

Bill Clinton inherited a great economy from Reagan and Bush 41. With no major threats to the US, he really didn't have to do anything, and our country would get along swimmingly.

But, as you mentioned, he couldn't keep it in his pants. So now he will be remembered not like JFK (as he wishes) but as a scummy low-life egotistical man who married for God knows what reason, and he should retreat to his little cabin in Arkansas.

yep they can't admit it but they would kill to have a conservative president with his record. Just watch as they give credit to all his great things to Bush or Reagan... They really are irrational when it comes to this. It's like they forget all about the recession during Bush the firsts presidency....
