(im assuming that you're a girl who dates guys). handcuffs won't be useful unless he's unconscious and you use them to make sure he doesn't wake up and try to hurt you. if you try to handcuff him when he's awake, he'll resist and if he's stronger than you, he can overpower you. mace is good, also stun guns if you can find one. knowing some martial arts is the best defense, however. you can have all the mace or guns or weapons in the world, but if you don't know how to use them, they're worthless, so make sure you can use whatever protection you have effectively.

I usually bring a different kind of protection everywhere I go.

I always keep a small dagger in a holdster in my boot or the small of my back. I don't like mace because if the wind blows the wrong way, you'll get it too.

mace is good make sure its not windy out side, protection is always good no matter what date it is cause people can be nice one minute then psycho the next
