Jersey Devil, Mothman & Martians(War Of The Worlds)

2007-08-16 11:56:25 · answer #1 · answered by JERSEY BOY ♠♥♦♣ 6 · 1 0

Covina, California.
We have a park, we call the "airplane park". There is a little fighter jet plane set in cement that used to be COOL when I was a kid cause it still has some landing gear and stuff attached. Anyway, the story goes that a pilot has engine failure during the war in the late 50's, early 60's and had to emergency land on our 10 fwy. Rather than ship the downed craft back to a bone yard, they hollowed it out and set it in place at our local park. Oh ya, and "Bloody Mary" stares right back, but I won't try that one!

Okay, this happend in a county pretty close to where I live.

There was a dance going on at Tuxedo High (there is a town called Tuxedo, because that's were the tuxedo was invented, the town is a real place, look Tuxedo, NY up on Wikipedia). These 2 boys, Billy and Stan were on their way to it. Neither of the boys had dates, which Billy was really bummed about. So, as they are going over a bridge, they see this really pretty girl, in a beautiful lavender dress. Stan pulls over and asks the girl were she's going. She says "To the dance." So, Stan lets the girl in the car. She sits in between the boys, and they both notice she is really cold. They pull up in front of the school, and Billy rushes inside, while Stan and the girl take their time going in. All night long, Billy was bummed out, and Stan and the girl were the stars of the dance, they were dancing forever. The weird thing was, Stan could never dance before. So, when it was time to go, Billy realizes how cold the girl is and gives her his jacket. So as they drive over the bridge again, they ask where she lives and she says "Oh! Drop me off here!" and jumps out, and as she gets out, they ask "What's your name?" And she replies, "Lavender." And walks into the distance. Then as they go how, Stan says "Billy you idiot, you gave the girl your jacket! That was a rental!" and he says "Oh, we'll get it tomorrow." So when they go over the bridge again, to the low-income part of town, they ask around about this girl, Lavender, and no one says anything. So they get to the last house on the street, and Billy asks "Well, have you seen Lavender?" The old woman that opened the door says "Yes, I was her mother, come in." She explains that Lavender was her daughter and that Lavender got hit by a truck over the bridge going to the dance about 20 years back. Now, the boys are real confused and ask "Well, where is she buried," and the woman says the name of the cemetary. When they go, they don't have to look far, on top of one gravestone, they see Billy's jacket laying over it.

It was on a TV show called Haunted New York, it was really scary.

Yeah the twin bridges monster or also called Caddo Lake Monster. Made a movie about it starring Jack Elm. Name of move was, "Creature of Boggy Creek!" In fact used the twin bridges in the movie. They are right down from my house.
Mostly likely just a young bear looking for food or panther screaming.
Or maybe some of their friends playing a practical joke on them.
Way it got started two kids from town went there parking. And something was supposed to have attacked their car trying to get at them. Dummies had some explaining to do when they got home about why she was only wearing her panties and bra and he was only wearing his jockey shorts and socks. Bet that taught them not to leave their clothes on the car hood.
No not me! I wasn't no where around when that happened. I'm innocent I tell you. In fact I wasn't even in the country.

Yes, when I was a teenager and was dating, the legend was that there was a creature that was 1/2 woman and 1/2 panther. They say you could hear her scream at night. LOL

We had a squatter here who built his house out of junk and things washed in by the tides.
They called his house Nitt Witt Ridge. It's a historical monument now.
I met him once. He was freakin' nuts!
