I honestly thought that I had a good grip on the mvmt, but I must be missing something. Are some of my female counterparts misbehaving, acting obnoxious, or being just plain rude. I don't know what all the fuss is.

I consider myself a feminist. Not in the way that a racist would be considered a biggot, but a person who wants equal rights for all.
All of your comments have helped me tremendously. I seek, just like everyone on this network to understand the world around me better. I think that if I were to understand our diffrences then we could overcome them. Keep the imput comming, and If anyone has more to add to the conversation I am totally open to other ideas.

It's not that fact that more women work, or your opinions matter or anything like that. These are all good things that I want for my mom, wife, daughters etc. One thing that does bother me is when women overcompensate in the workplace.

I've noticed that often times when career women get to a certain professional level, they feel it is necessary to act condescendingly and belittle the people who work under them. Not all of my female bosses have been like this, but quite a few have been. I have no problem taking orders from my boss, either man or woman, just don't throw your weight around because you think that's how to get taken seriously. Be fair, competent and diligent, and you'll have my respect. Try to get me to fear you, and you'll never have my loyalty.

I don't resent a thing about it,I am a man,and I support women's rights.I will be the first to admit that women as a rule, are smarter than men, however,I do not like the idea of women in combat or in a profession that requires brute strength.I still treat women with respect,no matter what profession they are in.My doctor in the States was a woman, and my wife's Niece here in Spain is a doctor. It is a shame that women have to work twice as hard and for less pay than a man in the same position.Yes,that still goes on and we still have a ways to go to level the playing field.

Some women are not after equality, but to be in a dominant role, this causes resentment to some men who see themselves as the ones to take the dominant roles. My opinion is negative, It does not bother in the least having a feminist movement.

i think it is the push to not only have the same opportunities, but they want to invade mens organizations. they are not satisfied with their own group such as sports teams etc.. maybe it's because they are incapable of establishing their own. this certainly not the case of the majority, but there is a hard core of women that seem to be of a maculine persuasion in charge of the movement. i enjoy watching women in sports but not competing with men.

At the very core and essential teachings of the Feminist Movement is that MEN ARE TO BE HATED! Being on the receiving end of hatred is a very very painfull experience!

I only see the feminists talking about equality. They are consistent in supporting the rights of all people.

I think a lot of guys are projecting their own insecurities, problems with women and political agendas onto feminism.

I don't resent it, I laugh at it. It's hilarious. I never knew penis-envy was such a serious problem.
