me and my friends want to go on a short vacation that is outside of ohio but we have to be able to drive there in 4-5 hours, we want a place that has shopping, and amusement/water parks?

Well, Paramount Kings Island is just outside of Cincinnati, OH. It will definitely take you 4 - 5 hours to get there and there is plenty of shopping and fun stuff to do in Cincinnati. Also, if you REALLY want to get out of Ohio, just stay across the border in Kentucky. But I think Cincinnati is far enough away from Cleveland to make you feel like your on vacation.

Kennywood Amusement Park near Pittsburgh
They are closed after Aug 26 so hurry.
With Cedar Point, and the islands (Put-in-Bay, ect) so close, why do you want to leave the state? I live in Elyria BTW.
I loved the Allegheny Forest area in western Pennsylvania. But I'm more rustic.
