As a rule I find that guys are much more loyal as friends. Now mind you I say this and I have a lot of girls that are my friends. Guys usually will always be willing to listen to other guys and if one guy has a problem then usually all the guys he is friends with will back him up regardless of if he is right or wrong. Girls I think make very good friends but if I have a problem they seem less interested in what it is and how to fix it. They will listen very well but never really seem to have a good answer to it. I find that girls with girl friends they can become more jealous about their friends and even will say things about them behind their backs. It is almost as if they have some sort of secret competition going on with the other girl. Yet when there is a problem with someone that is not in their friend group, they all do band together to watch out for that one girl. It is kinda like we can say things about her but if anyone else does we will kick their butt. I do think girls for fiends with guys can be better. That allows us guys to get some insight into other girls minds and vise verse. It is also easier for a guy to talk about his problems with a girl. They as a group tend to be more sympathetic. The only problem is they never really seem to have an answer to the problem unlike most guy friends do.

Human beings are loyal... You can't judge loyality by gender.. My number one advice to you is to not put to much trust in anyone other then yourself. I mean don't get me wrong it's ok to trust someone if you feel comfortable and truely believe they are geniune but we all know these days that people will disappoint you and not care because they feel like they really don't owe you anything and they are so right so just trust you and leave it at that.. Love everyone else from a small distance and not let them in your space....

i'd say...
male. purely because they don't argue as much and they dont have nearly as much to kick up a fuss about. it's not so much that they're more loyal...it's that the friendship is easier in general.

both can be loyal depends on the person themselves and how strong the friendship is.
