My pediatrician told me not to give my 8 month old a bath more than 3 times a week because she has eczema. So I do not give her a tub bath more than 3 times a week. However she gets washed up 2 sometimes 3 times a day. You can give your baby a bath everyday if you want, just make sure that her skin isn't drying out too much. For those that said twice a day; A 6 month old baby should not need a tub bath twice a day.

I bathed mine everyday at that age. It was the first step in her bedtime routine......the bath calmed her and got her ready for sleep. But I only used soap on the whole baby once per week. the other days she just sat/splashed in a baby tub of water. she never knew the difference between soap baths and non soap baths.
Now she is 16 months old and needs to be bathed daily. But I only wash her hair with shampoo twice per week. the rest of the days I "wash" it was water and rinse it, so she stays used to it, but does not dry out.

It depends if she is not out much.. Then to avoid sickness due to the change of temerature I would say every other day if not it is ok for her to bathe her everyday before going to sleep... But it is on you!!
I do with my almost 7 month the same thing & she doesn't smell bad or anything because every morning I giver her a nice clean with a warm wash towel & put on her powder ( just a small portion in her body) SO good luck! !

Bath the baby every day. Babies tend to drull formula or breastmilk while they eat. Give your baby a bath around an hour before you go to bed. After she takes a bath and has a warm bottle, or gets her tummy full, she will sleep well. The bath will relax her. Not only that, but they smell soooo good after you put the lotion and baby powder after her bath!!!

Everyday! Sometimes a newborn may need more than one bath a day. (anything more than once should be more of a sponge bath unless your little one has an accident ;) Bathing your baby regularly will prevent cradle cap, chaffing, and odor. On that note, you should also make sure that you keep your little well moisturized. This will also prevent the things I mentioned above. Coating your little one (hair, between her toes and fingers, behinds her ears, and under her neck...plus the area where her diaper band rubs) with a good moisturizer such as Johnson and Johnson Baby Lotion will help to keep her moisturized after the bath. It will replenish the natural oils that the baths take out of her little body. Good luck and you will do fine.

I am a mother of six 3 girls 3 boys and with all my kids I had a routine and after dinner I would bathe the baby right before bed it would soothe them and they slept better which meant I slept better. just make sure that you don't dry out her skin (baby lotion does wonders.)

I bathe my son every other day and on hot days everyday. They don't need baths everyday. I find that when I bathe him every day his skin gets a little dry. When its hot and I'm bathing him daily I just apply lotion a couple times a day.

you already bathe the 3 parts that get the dirties several times a day (bottom, hands, and face) you don't have to bathe her everyday unless she absolutely needs it. you could dry out her skin.
