I've never built any models...I'll guess & say port side

I'm guessing you're building a wooden ship using plank on frame... since all the ships I've built are plastic or resin and of the current era, I would have to GUESS that it would stand for "Port-side".

I did a search under an acyronm / abbreviation and found nothing else specific. Sorry

if you are building plank on frame it means " port and or starboard " ie you will need two of that part and one goes on port the other starboard
