Russian sage, Ornamental Grass (once established), Lavendar, Ornemantal Oregano, Hosts (yes, believe it or not), Dya Lily, Liatris, Yucca...to name a few. Keep in mind, though, that these plants require plenty of water for the first two weeks or so.
I have all these plants in my 'xerascape', zone 5 lower Michigan garden.

Succulents (like 'calanchoe') are related to cacti; either go to a garden center, where people actually KNOW plants, not just a big-box plant sales department (well, SOME of those folks know their stuff) and talk to them about "xerophytic" gardening or 'google' "xerophytic flowering plants" and watch the information flood your screen.
