don't give too much, she may be filling up on the water instead of milk. 8 oz spread out over a day is fine, unless you are out in the heat alot.

I would recomend to increase fer formula OZ.
The doctor told me that my baby ( 6moths) doesn't need to drink more water than the one in the formula because what she is drinking is water so Dr. suggest to give her 2-4 OZ of pediality (serum) to maintain her hydrated not so much time out in the sun , have her with fresh clothes so she won't be sweding a lot..:)

I don't know but my son used to drink a lot more water than usual and he ended up not growing at his normal rate and had to get all this testing for Celiac Disease when he had just turned 2. Turns out he was drinking water and filling up on it so that he could not get the nutrients needed from meals. After that we only gave him milk and juice since milk and juice have nutrients. I thought I was doing him such a favor by giving him water and not sugary juices but it turns out I was wrong.

Yea I heard that they cant have any water at that age. Breastmlik contains enough water (the foremilk) to prevent dehydration...water fills the baby's stomach and makes them think they are full. I'm not sure if yr breastfeeding or formula feeding. I would ask the babies pediatircian.

None. A baby younger than six months should have nothing but breastmilk or formula. Water is unnecessary, and can actually be dangerous (look up water intoxication.)
Water takes up space that needs to be filled with nutrition packed breastmilk or formula. It serves no purpose that the previous two don't address.

I thought babies shouldn't have water until 4 months when you introduce food and juices

they shouldn't need any. ask your doctor. My daughter is 6 months and I don't give her any. She gets enough hydration from her formula.
