Really the only way to shorten your pierod is to take birthcontrol pills. A woman taking BC pills pierod usually only last 3 or 4 days. In fact they even have a BC Pill that you can take that makes you only have a pierod 4 times a year (every 4 months). Other than the birth control pill I don't think there is another way.... and no a pickle dose not make your pierod stop.... if that were true I wouldn't have a pierod, I love pickles, lol

There's definitely nothing that can be done for you this cycle. Birth control pills are the only things I know that can shorten your menstrual cycle. And if it makes you feel any better, before I went on the pill my periods lasted 10 each month (but then my "month" was actually 7 weeks long). With the pill, and even now that I'm off the pill, my periods last 5 to 6 days, which to me seems extremely short!

You have it better than me, mine's 8-10 days! Yeah, it sucks. But I have been finding that mine have been getting shorter and lighter on its own. So maybe as you regulate the same thing will happen? Well, I would suggest waiting a few more cycles, and if it doesn't improve, talk to your mom/guardian about trying some birth control. The pills will make your period shorter and less heavy, all in all more bearable. Other than that, there is no way of shortening your period. Sorry I couldn't be much of a help.

No, there is nothing that can be done to reduce the number of days that the period occurs.
The normal number of days for a period is from 3-7 days.
Please talk to your doctor as well for additional information to see what they say.
