Between about 10-16 days from the beginning of her period, if she has about a 28 day cycle. Adjust it accordingly if the cycle is shorter or longer. (e.g., a 25 day cycle would mean she is fertile a bit earlier, and a 31 day cycle would mean she is fertile a bit later).

Count from the first day of your last normal period. If you had a period on 8/1, probable time of conception would be around 8/14, 8/15, 8/16. Thus, you are most fertile 2 weeks after the first day of your period.

2 weeks before the next period. If you have a 30 day cycle (Meaning you start on DAY 1 and DAY 31) then around days 14-16, you would be fertile (ovulating).

It depends on how you look at it, women usually ovulate about 14 days after the first day of their last period which at the same time usually means 14 days before their next period

Two weeks before her period is due - this is when ovulation takes place. You can buy ovulation tests in the drugstore, or take your temperature every morning and the day that it's 1 or 2 degrees higher than average is a sign that ovulation is taking place. Also, when some women ovulate they get a sharp pain in their upper groin area - this is also known as mittleschmerz. And that's probably more information than you even wanted to know!

I believe it's around the time before you get your period. During the period it's pretty much getting rid of the egg and right after the period, the egg still needs to go through the fallopian tube and get in place. I believe I was told that you're less likely to get pregnant right after your period.
