not the diffrence really just what happens when i put system recovery will i reset the computer or how do you do it in order to reset your whole computer

First post is right, recovery brings your PC to original factory settings.

It depends on the type of computer you have. For example, Dell's system restore by symantec restores the computer back to the day it was shipped. HP, on the other hand, has 2 options. The first is it restores the OS but keeps all files and documents. The second is a complete format.

You can always "format" the hard drive and start completely over. You'll need the OS install disk.

A system recovery disc will restore it back to just like it was when you first pulled it out of the box when it was brand new.
