Why cant some people admit they are wrong?

why is it i have no problem admitting if im wrong but other people will do anything to not admit what they did was wrong or they screwed up in any way? Just say, i was wrong, now lets move on instead they shift blame on you who has nothing to do with it.

You have to be confident and truthful. Not something that is very common in the world.

I agree with you and always feel better for apologising and making reparation.

Mistakes are just that - not deliberate! Why would you not own up if it wasn't on purpose??

Two reasons : First : being egotistical to admit that YOU were wrong
Second : People won't let you get away with it ! They will tell you " We told you that " and " you are always wrong " and " next time try listening to others " and stuff like that , not all the as some are nice but most of them

i have no problem admitting if i'm wrong completely but on the other end of the spectrum, people kind of FORCE you to admit it. see, when i did something wrong, but i have other things to vindicate the situation, i point out both things. I point out the good and the bad. but some people just wanna see the bad and it makes you wanna keep pushing to whole truth out, most especially the good.

i know it's ocnfusing but that's my view in a nutshell

honestly, because it's hard.. it's hard to admit you have done something wrong.. you know you are not perfect, but, admitting it, that's another story.. but, you should always do it, no matter what.. as hard as it is, it makes you feel great when you do..

good q. i totally agree with you. i've no idea why it's so hard for som to admit they weren't as right as they thought. sometimes, i think, they believe that if they don't admit to things, they won't be so.
