It means one after the other.
Example 1
5 , 6 , 7 , 8 are consecutive natural numbers.

Example 2
2, 4, 6, 8 are consecutive even numbers.

the numbers which differ by one are consecutive numbers like 5 4 3 2 1...nd 1 2 3 4 5......
or
numbers one after other are consecutive numbers like 1 2 3 4 5 i.e if x is an integer then x, x+1,x+2 .....so on

consecutive means "next to each other"

Ex:
1 and 2 are the consecutive numbers
-1 and 0 are teh consecutive numbers

how about 2 and 4??? well in this case, they are not consecutive numbers BUT they are consecutive EVEN numbers.

Eg. 1,2,3,4.......
2,3,4,5......
20,21,22,23,.....
57,58,59,60......
