pasta is good for you , But you should not overdo it. you need a balance of different foods to supply their various nutrients.

Here's one of my favorite pasta recipes that's loaded with protein which helps with energy and repair of the body.

High protein spaghetti or macaroni

1 c. [4 ounces] dry, spaghetti or macaroni
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tbsp. safflower oil
1 c. cottage cheese with chives
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
½ teaspoon pepper or cayenne pepper
1 tsp. Sea salt

Put spaghetti or macaroni into a large pan of boiling water. Add 1
Tsp. Sea salt. Boil at a fast boil until tender about ten minutes. Pour into a straining dish and when most of the water is drained, pour into a large skillet. Add safflower oil mix well and heat. Add cottage cheese, garlic, sea salt and pepper, mixing well until very hot and cottage cheese becomes a little stringy. Serve very hot.

Can be garnished with chopped parsley.

Beans And tuna are very healthy foods to eat also. I've enclosed another recipe for a terrific bean soup.

Best Ever Split Pea

1-tablespoon olive oil
2 cups chopped onion
2 cups chopped carrot
2 cups finely chopped celery
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 cup yellow split peas
1 cup green split peas
8 cups fat-free chicken broth
1 1/2 teaspoons salt-free seasoning blend
1-teaspoon salt

Directions

1:In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook onion, carrot, celery and garlic until onion is translucent. Stir in yellow and green split peas, broth, seasoning and salt. Cover, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 2 1/2 hours, stirring frequently. Puree with a blender or food processor. Return to pot, heat through, and serve.
