out of sight out of mind doesn't always ring true because just because you can't see it or its not around you, doesn't mean it isn't still on your mind

Well, I can't really relate to the first on a romantic level, but it is true for my family and friends. But I'd have to go with 2. I think it's very true that if you never have to see it(whatever it So yes, out of sight, out of mind. And it can pretty much work for anything.
