The "peak" was last sunday night, though the shower actually lasts till this sunday I believe. Apparently the best time to see them is just before the dawn. I was watching from midnight, didn't see many until turned 2.30. As the heavens "revolves" so will the location of the perseids.

Yes. The awkward part was finding a roadside parking space overlooking the tanker piers southward that didn't have
occupied vehicles that romance was having its way with.
I found one eventually as last of the summer air was cooled
by tidal air. The motorcycle ride north again along the small
2-lane coastal highway was deliberately fast for the thrill.
Big cliffs, twisting tarmac, forest scents, infrequent roadway
stones, and the risk of a head-on with large bear or deer.

I stayed in the garden from about 23:00 until 02:10. Only saw three, and they were within five seconds of each other at about 12:50. It was cloudy, unfortunately, so I only saw them when the clouds broke shortly. Then I accidentally fell asleep outside and woke up freezing cold!

I watched the meteor shower on Saturday, Sunday and on Monday. Me, my partner and brother sat in the garden on deck chairs with our blankets and stayed out from midnight until 4am. We seen over 100 meteors each night. It was beautiful, wouldn't miss it for anything.

Yes, I saw 18 on Sunday and 9 on Monday. You're right, they weren't as good as built up to be.

I saw a beautiful one on Friday night as it trailed across the sky, and my neighbour saw one on Saturday. It's just great to have seen one. You sound as if you thought it was going to be a firework display.

we had fantastic weather on sunday night...it all depends on where you were and how much light pollution there was around you. lucky for us we live in the country so we sat in the backyard and had front row seats to a great meteor shower...
we never miss it and it was as good as always in our locale

I saw a few as it wasn't cloudy. Didn't see any come together, just singly every few minutes. Went to bed at 1am though so they could have got better after that.
