Yes and no. I don't think it's possible to move years into the past or future because you would need to travel faster than light (I believe). But since time is relative then it's possible for time to pass slower or faster in one place than in another.

Time travel backwards is impossible. You would have to go faster than the speed of light, which is impossible for anything that has mass.
Time travel forwards isn't really time travel, it's just moving at just below light speed so that time slows down (a process called time dilation) for you, while remaining the same for everyone else. But we don't have the technology to go that fast yet.

Time is usually relative to who observes it, and if the elements to create time travel are beyond the speed of light (tachyons etc.) which is in itself impossible to break conventionally, then time travel may as well be impossible.
We all move forwards in time, at a snails pace.

Time travel is only poss,through the mind and spirit,we must leave the flesh behind. Unless we have a body we can loan in another time we cannot be part of that world in flesh, we only can see and observe. Just aswell dont you think ?

I heard in a program that some theories suggest is possible but u can go to the past to the time the machine was made not prior to that.

The Vulcan Science Academy says that time travel is impossible, so I know it happens all the time!

yes .some biengs have time shifting capabilities.however traveling bacward/foward are policed.history must be protected;are among some of the rules for time traveling peoples of our cosmos.sorry }star fleet rules; no time travel allowed at this current time in world history.

I believe UFOs are time travelers from the future, which are really us !! from far in the future collecting data !! because are earth is dieing & their trying to fix it !!
