I have been happily beautifully blessed with a wonderful, strong, man who loves me and is commited to me and my family of 4 children!! Married for 5 years and LOVING IT!! I often find myself alone in this situation!! Are there any married folks out there who can PROUDLY say: YES I AM MARRIED AND I AM HAPPY??!!!

Extremely!! Our sixth anniversary is September 3, we were married one week before 9/11, what an emotional start!!!
We were talking about renewing our vows for our 10th anniversary, I am going to let *HIM* choose everything, since he says I made them all dress the way I wanted...decent!! LOL
You all don't "hear" so much about happy marriages, because we are not yapping about it all of the time.

I love my husband very much. We communicate very well, I trust him with my life. I know he will always be there for me and he was my best friend for years before we even got married. Of course our friendship has changed since we got married...a lot. I do care how much he drinks when he goes out, I do care where he goes when he goes out, where I never used to when we were just friends. I guess thats what happens when you fall in love and marry someone...you start to care a lot more than you used to. We do have our problems though, we've only been married 9 months and I've heard the first few years are the hardest. But he's a wonderful man. There are times where I don't think I'm as happy as I could be...not enough romance, but the lust is definetely there...he drives me crazy!! I'm so relieved that I married a man that I can do anything around. I can truly be myself and I never feel like an idiot around him. I'm proud to say I'm married to him. So compared to other people's marital issues...yes I'm happily married.

I would say that I am happily married for 33 years. Not that everything has been a rose garden, but we are very happy we married because we are perfect for each other.
Pay no attention to the cynics. There are a lot of people who have had bad experiences, but a lot of them might have had selfish motives or maybe weren't committed to marriage, or maybe were after good looks and good times instead of the responsibility of marriage. There are plenty of complainers. Let them complain. We've got it good.

Yes, Tony and I have been happily married for more than 30 years. Our kids are on their own now, we're semi-retired, early, and having a great life together. Are we always deliriously happy? No way. But the good times outweigh the bad and I can't imagine not being with him. So glad you're happy too, all the best for a lifetime together.

My parents were married over 50 years, 4 kids. My sister has been married almost 25 years, very happily. Yes, it does happen.

Yes. I am happily married and thank God ever day for my wonderful husband and my beautiful children. Especially after reading a lot of the problems here.

There are couples who are happily married. More focus is on the breakups and divorces. At times couple are happy and sometimes they are just not having a good day but are still in love with their spouse.

I am married and I am incredibly happy. My husband frequently says the same thing. We got married young and so far it's lasted a year and (almost) 8 months. We're both looking forward to however many years we have ahead of us. It takes work, but we've found already that marriage is worth every bit of work you put into it.
