So apparently someone thought my question from yesterday was racist or something, I was reported for asking, "Why is Don Imus being sued??"

I can tell you this much, report all you want, but this "racism" BS is going way too far. . .I can't have freedom of speech like Imus was properly exercising??

Monkeys. . .

. . .now call me racist. . .

If Don Imus wasn't a white millionaire, he wouldn't be getting sued.
What I don't get is that the girl who is suing him is claiming that his comment was directed to her specfically. Sounds like paranoia, to me. I wonder, was it the "nappy-headed" or the "ho" part to which she took offense?

I agree with you. The Don Imus comments were blown way out of proportion; the only reason the Rutgers team even heard about them was because of the media.
One of the players is suing Imus because she claims her reputation has been damaged as a result of what he said, which is complete crap. I highly doubt anyone thinks less of her because some old man with a radio show made a stupid comment about her team that had no validity to it. The thing is, he has money.
Bottom line, the media blew this thing way out of proportion, and I'm not defending or agreeing with what he said, but he should not have lost his job over this.

Without going into my personal beliefs about what was said by Imus and whether or not things were blown out of proportion or not, I'll bet that it was no coincidence that the player decided to sue Imus the same day as he settled his $120 wongful termination lawsuit against CBS (I believe) for out of court.

You are right. Freedom of speech. It is all about the money, now. I knew it would be just a matter of time, before someone was going to ask for money. Have a nice evening.

Don Imus needs to be forgiven, he can never go back to his "shock jock" reputation though ever again.

He's not really being sued is he? What the hell law did he "break"?! Hurting someones feelings is not against the law.
