IT isnt hard to do all you need is a wireless router and the laptops should alrady have wireless cards, you dont need a professional to do it. But if you want one to you can go to any big electronics store and they should have techs who can do it.

I wouldn't contact your current internet provider.
The first thing they will say is "How many PCs are going to be using the internet." and "We need to charge you more per month."
This is what they have told me on several occasions!
Better to just do it yourself. Look at yours and your brothers laptop specs. If they are new, they should be Wireless G compatible. Maybe even Wireless N. It depends on the manufacturer.
If you have cable or DSL, you are going to have to run the outgoing network cable from your cable/DSL modem into a newly purchased wirless D or N router. Then, your laptops should just work.
You really don't have to get the house "wired" unless your incoming DSLCABLE connection is physically located on the opposite side of the house from your brother or sisters bedroom.
Even if it is located on the other side of the house, it is cheaper to get a wireless repeater at Circuit City and then connect that to a wireless router in your other side of the house.
The geeks at Circuit City should be able to tell you all of this while not charging you a service call.
WalMart has the stuff too but I would go to the electronics department at Wally World at night and look for the guy with thick glasses. He will be working there because he loves it and it will be a second job!
We installed DSL from Bell South and got the wireless router with the DSL service. No fuss. It just worked.
You don't want to run network cable unless you have to. If you just want to do it, plan on paying a local company about $130 dollars per run of network wire, no matter what the length.
Good luck

WiFi is wireless and therefore does not require wires. The WAP (Wireless Access Point) will interface with the Cable/DSL modem. Your cable/DSL modem will be hard wired which can be wired by the provider of the cable/DSL modem. The best place to postion this in my opinion is as close the center of the house as possible and a middle floor in the case of a 2-story house.

Don't spend any $$ paying someone to do it -- its simple, just read the directions that come with your router.
