2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
8 cloves garlic, pureed
Salt and freshly ground pepper
2 loaves good white bread, cut into 1-inch thick slices

Mix together the butter and garlic in a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Brush both sides of the bread with the butter and place on the grill. Grill the bread for 1 to 2 minutes per side until lightly golden brown.

Get a loaf of Italian bread, spread olive oil and garlic on it, toast it using an oven and enjoy.

Texas Toast is basically just Garlic bread's name in Texas. I'm from South CT so it's really easy to get Italian bread over here, I don't know about about where you are from.
