I have a B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in English. Besides T.V, print and radio what can I do? Does anyone else have a similar background? Some people I know say you can do almost any job with a 4 year degree and I'd like that to be true but I only know one person that worked out for. Any ideas?

I've been out of school for 4 years and have had jobs ranging from sales, admin and now health care. I want to do all kinds of things, I would just like to make some money on the way.

I have my BA in Communications as well, and I have been out of college for over 5 years now. Don't be discouraged if you don't get an awesome job right away- I spent the first 3 years out of school as a lowly receptionist at a couple offices...then, my receptionist experience plus communication degree led to a rather lucrative career in admin.

Also, my friend Meg has the same degree and she is a marketing director for one of the biggest communications companies in the country...it's called Qwest, and it's huge here in Denver.

I would turn this question around and say what do you WANT to do? Why did you get your degree in Communications to begin with? What interests you the most? If you are working in the corporate world, a 4-year degree in almost any subject is acceptable to work as a salesperson, marketing person, etc. So take your 4-degree out on the road and let it shine!
