Listen to Big R... you're walking right into a John Robert Powers scam or some other similar company. They're going to tell you how great you are and try to get your parents to pay a large sum of money to get you to take classes and join their company, etc... It's a big rip off. Do NOT sign anything, do NOT pay them anything. Look up the name of the company here:

If you have a dream and you don't want these scammers to rip you off and step all over it, just ask us here nicely and we'll tell you the truth about what to do.

good lucK!

For once, I agree with some of the above. I've never heard of auditions on Sundays either. Auditions are usually specific to one role. I have heard, however, some places like JRP say that they will audition you with a casting agent that has cast for these shows. This is where they probably pay this person to come in for the day.

I do notice that a lot of times they list shows they have helped to cast, but it doesn't mean that the person they sent in has actually gotten the role. For example, my child was a part of a commercial that I saw 12 different casting agents reference on their sites or resumes and none of them were the ones that got actual kids in the commercial (which was Kids Talent Network by the way). If that makes any sense! I'm sure someone else can explain it better.

Not to knock you down, but if you were invited to go there and it was free, no harm, go for it.

BIG R - I second your thoughts. I too think this is a scam. The fact is that NOBODY auditions for all those shows at the same time. The auditions for any of those shows are cast from a breakdown for a SPECIFIC ROLE on a SPECIFIC SHOW. I have the biggest feeling that this a scam as so many kids want to be on those shows they will jump on anything. Nothing wrong with wanting and pursuing the dream, but this is simply not how it's done.

My question would be "Who is putting this on?" What's the name of the company? Where is this located?

And just like BIG R - I'm not trying to be a kill-joy, but I'm in the business, and this just doesn't make sense to me. Feel free to contact me with any further questions.

First off just be yourself. Be confident but not overly confident. More than likely you will do a cold reading, they will take pictures of you and possibly do a screen test. Look over the script several times so that you are familiar with the material and can show facial expressions or use your hand to do gestures. Do not hold the script in front of your face. You are there to be seen so don't hide behind the script. Take your time, think about the character or how you would say the things you are saying. More importantly listen to the lines that are being given to you. React to what is being said to you.
"Acting is reacting" to what is being said.
If you mess up, ask politely to start again. And above all have fun!!! Good luck! And have a great time.

Do a vocal warm up before you go in...somewhere private...even if it is the bathroom, if you warm up your body as well as your voice and face you will loose a lot of tension and perform better...this is my best tip as it always helped me in past. Good Luck!

Don't let your nerves get the best of you. Completely be yourself. I messed up so many auditions just because I got shy, don't be shy.
