Well, I am not only happy when it rains but at other times, too. But yeah, I am happier than most of the other happy times when it rains.

The reason... I guess its like how people have described it through the ages... the sound of rain, the fresh smell of rain, the overwhelming beauty of the water and the green... the lovely sounds of insects and amphibians... the feeling of something being 're-born'... and to top it all, the knowledge that someone ages ago, sat staring at the steadily falling raindrops and feeling as beautiful as I am feeling while looking at it.

I love it when it rains. I lived in Seattle for a while and I was never happier! I get uncomfortable in the sun, it's too bright and hot for me usually. I even get a rash from the sun sometimes ~ little red bumps on my arms that itch a little bit. It goes away when I get out of the sun. Anyway...I love the rain for so many reasons...I like the clouds, the color of the clouds and the shapes. I like the cool feeling in the air. I like the sound of the rain on the rooftops. I like the smell of rain, how you can smell it in the air and also how it makes earth damp and how that smells. I love the way it makes everything grow ~ ferns and moss and trees and flowers. I like jumping in puddles! And taking a walk in the rain, getting all soaking wet and then coming home to get changed into dry clothes. Rain makes me feel comforted and cozy. It makes me think of snuggly sweaters and mugs of hot chocolate and foggy kitchen windows while the soup's on the stove. *sigh*

You must associate a rainy day with happiness. Maybe when you were young you had many happy experiences on rainy days and now you have associated the two. You'd better move somewhere like Ireland where it rains all the time :-)

It's not the only time I'm happy but I love the rain - the sound, the smell during and after, the cleansing affect - luv it.

I love the rain and everything about it...
But I am happy other times. Of course, I prefer stormy and/or cool and rainy weather over sunny, bright weather. I also love it when it snows and becomes extremely cold.
I do not get down just because I wake up and the weather is sunny, but I wish that it was rainy or cold and snowy instead.

Yeah, I'm that way too. I thought I was an oddball, since most people like the sun and the heat, etc. I hate summer's heat and humidity, but love fall and spring and even winter is tolerable, as long as I can stay inside and watch the snow. I do love rainy days. They are cool and cozy and I feel far more energetic, relaxed, calm, and happy. Sun makes me lethargic, so I just want to nap.

Yes, I love the rain. It's a sign for good luck. Truthfully though, I think I just hate the sun, I know we need it to survive and all but why can't it just always be cloudy or something

You have two characteristics...one is human being and the other a snail. Your human side wont let you go out when it's wet so your snail side takes over suits you better and thats why you're happy when it's raining.
