A bit of a slow day, have been waiting for the news. I have no verification of this but firstly from someone who is living in Portugal, at the moment the Portuguese Police have absolutely had enough of the McCanns. Secondly, apparently they have caused so much interference with the investigations that they have hindered progress not helped. The Police believed Madeleine to be dead from day one. They are not happy with the privacy laws being flouted, they are furious with the posters going up and the media coverage believing that whoever was involved in Madeleine going missing, always assuming it was an opportunist snatch would have gone to ground. If there had not been so much pandemonium then the person or persons involved would probably have come more to the fore to find out what was happening. Also they are extremely frustrated by the McCanns and friends and conflicting stories. They are not happy with the constant interference and of course the way the 'crime scene' was trampled and dozens of people in and out of the apartment from the beginning.
Thirdly, yesterday I was told and I do not know how true this is that the Police are to arrest someone in the next few days. As someone has already said the blood was not Madeleines and the Portuguese wish the McCanns had never set foot in their Country. They also blame the McCanns for affecting their tourism and if they had not been Brits they would have been charged by now with child neglect. There is a lot of debate at present as to whether all British people bring up their children the way the McCanns do. I have no official source to prove this only some contacts of mine who are living in Portugal at the present time.
No idea at all who they have in mind to arrest. They are extremely 'unhappy' with the McCanns and friends, it is thought one or more are somehow involved if only for hampering investigations, I do not understand how anyone could set out to obstruct the Police when a child's life is involved surely parents, friends, acquaintances, family would do all they could to help not hinder. Why, it beats me, even if you are going to be in trouble for some misdemeanour this is more important than some minor crime that may have been committed. Like I said before whatever the outcome of all this I believe they are culpable in all this if only for neglecting those children night after night alone and practically advertising the fact so blatently.

*Maddy, I actually heard on the news last night that the police have a suspect with regards to Madeleine going missing and that they will swoop within the next 3 or 4 days.

Isn't it oh so easy to sit safely behind a notorious nickname and poke "fun" at people during their darkest hour?
Imagine if all those who disagree with your "fun", knew you, knew exactly what you look like, what you wore, how you spoke and had a field day, DAILY, at your expense?
And please don't start your record about "they neglected their babies, they deserve it!". You may not have neglected your own but am sure, am certain, am 100% positive, that you have erred sometime, made some dangerous blunder that you've managed to hide or that, thankfully, you've not had the need to publicise.

The two of them are pathetic! Gerry has had a nice haircut and the other half has had highlights! unbebloodybelievable! Where are the twins....? Do they still get them watched during the day? OMG I just couldn't function if that was my daughter who was missing! Remember they can afford to stay there as long as, they've got plenty of money!!!! At the publics expense!!!

Maybe they are being sponsored by a sandal company now like the sponsorship for their website. Maybe the sandal company has sent them a big cheque that is why they are so happy!
Why is there a photo on the pile of mail at the bottom of the picture that looks suspiciously like Sean Connery? Is 007 getting involved?
