Ok, well I'm in this church play, we're in the midst of rehearsing it. Now I'm planning on sending my headshot and resume somewhere. I've also sent my headshot and resume to a talent agency. So should I put this on my resume?

year type of role location/play (in progress)

Or should I say at the bottom that I'm working on a new play at the moment? I don't want them to think i'm unexpirience because I am. Just for a little heads up I'm planning on sending it to Disney Channel.

Yes, put it on. Whether it's been performed or not is irrelevant. They cast you in the play, and that what the resume is all about - what you have been cast in.

Yes, you put the role on your resume, but you never designate it as (in progress) or anything else. You got the role and that's that.

By the way, you do not send resumes to Disney Channel. You may send them to agents and casting directors who cast Disney shows but be forewarned that unless you're sending them for a specific casting call, as far as casting directors go they may get tossed right in the trash if they get it but they don't know what it's for.

For an agent mailing you need to send a cover letter. For casting directors you need to write the name of the show and the role you're submitting for on the envelope.

I would just put it on there and not worry about it. I mean, you've already been cast in the show and you will be performing it. By the time your resume gets to where it's going you will probably already have done it. Or will be doing it. Just put the performance date on there and the casting people will be ok with it. They should be, anyway. Break a leg with your show!!

Never, ever lie on a resume. It's okay to be inexperienced. Everyone is at the beginning. If it is something that you are proud of and if it is a substantial role then put it on your resume.

Role.......play........location.......director

put in that your working on it. because if someone does get back to you about it and ask about the play that you havent preformed yet. you would feel kind of silly and you probably wont get the part for being dishonest. Good luck though!
