Desktop icon ?

Question

hi i have been notice tat i have some shadows on the icon of my desktop i hate tat..this is how it luks like

..its kinda weird ....how can i get rid of this?

i have tried everything..

going into the properties n control panel

Go to Control Panel> System > Advanced > Performance Tab > Settings Button and put a checkmark in: Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels on the Desktop.
Then return to Control Panel > Display > click the Appearance tab > click on the Effects button > put a checkmark on "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" > click on the tiny arrow on the box below and select ClearType. Confirm changes clicking on OK.
This should solve your problem.
