you should read up on how to properly take care of fish and fish tanks before you just go off buying fish. Most likely, you didn't have an air filter or any means to properly take care of your fish. Fish and fish tanks can be a very challenging project. Fish are very sensitive animals and each fish has their own requirements....

I think you should buy a beginnners guide to setting up tanks and what fish are the best fish to get to set up a tank with. There is alot of work at first to getting a tank sat up. It has to cycle and you have to check the water regularly to see if it is in normal limits. I would read up on aquarium set up and beginners fish. I had to learn the hard way. My husband caught me gone and bought my daughter a tank and I had to learn to deal with it....I went to all the message boards and read everything that I could get my hands on I would advise that you do the same. Good luck!

Sounds like ammonia poisoning. When you add 5 fish to a tank it is bound to be a overload of ammonia. Check the ammonia levels. Some fish can tolerate different levels, might be why one died each day. I also bet this is a new tank. Try adding one fish and letting the tank cycle. Once the levels are correct add one or two fish at a time.

Well you need to ask yourself a lot of questions. I dont know how old you are, so I don't know if you'll understand all of this... but you have to do checks on the pH levels, ammonia levels, nitrate levels etc.. of the water, do you treat your water before you put your fish in? what do you do when you get the new fish? Do you let the fish in the bag float to get used to the water temp? do you know what water temp is appropriate for your fish? What kind of fish are you trying to keep? are they compatable?
I know this sounds like a lot but these are the questions you need to be asking when getting fish.

POOR/TOXIC WATER QUALITY. You are poisoning your fish because you don't understand proper cycling techniques, fish to water ratios, proper cleaning and maintenance and, perhaps, proper feeding.
Do not get any more fish until you understand the following:
1. How to choose the proper tank size for the species and amount of fish you want to keep.
2. Proper filtration requirements.
3. Proper heating requirements, if any.
4. Nitrogen cycle and how to cycle a tank; preferably with a fishless cycle.
5. How to test your water and make corrections as needed.
6. Specific needs of the individual fish you are interested in, i.e., amount of water per fish, temperature, compatible fish, etc.
7. Proper cleaning and maintenance.
8. Identifying and treating diseases.
Once you understand what is required to keep a healthy tank, you will be able to keep your fish alive.
Now is not the time to be offended because you didn't know these things. None of us knew them when we started out. We had to learn the hard way, but we're this honest with you in the hope that you will not need to make the same mistakes. Choose to disbelieve me, but this is 100% correct.

My husband has a lot of fish and one has grown to be very almost a foot long! human beings provide him fish and that they continuously stay whether injured by ability of his greater fish. So anyhow... right this is what they he does and that i think of that is why no fish die. He retains the fish in in basic terms purified water and feeds them in basic terms Hikari Ciclid Gold products. circulate to special puppy shop (Walmart don't have crap) to locate extra greater determination of those products. in the previous you purchase from now on fish purchase a e book to income approximately them. One form of fish would possibly no longer blend nicely with others. locate you a puppy shop owned by ability of orientals, too. they might show you extra desirable on what to do. that is how he found out maximum of what he knows. Oh, and you do might desire to maintain tank water at particular tempature (you could want a heater for water). sturdy success!

5 fishes in a bowl might use up the Oxygen in a week then they are history. Do u have an airiator on the tank?
did u feed them too much?
did the water get too warm?
Like is the tank in front of a southern facing window?
Did u condition the water (dechlorinate it)?

How about some info? What kind of fish? How big is the tank? How many did you add at once? How did you set up and cycle the tank?
Do you even know what I'm talking about? Have you ever read a book on fish keeping?

I think that your aquarium is to small for 5 fish
try getting 2 instead or even 1
and also try to clean out your aquarium before getting new fish because there might be a Bactria in the aquarium and all the fish get sick from it
