I was 12 at the time and I had a cat named "Charlie" and my mom wouldn't let him come in the house because he sprayed. But, I would go outside and spend time with him everyday. Given my mom knew how much I loved him she went and got the paperwork from the MSPCA to apply for him to be neutered so he could come inside the house. When she came home with the paperwork I was really excited and went outside and called his name. When I looked across the street, he was lying there on the side of the road. When he didn't respond I walked across the street and sure enough there he lay dead. I was devastated and cried for weeks on end.

that is a good question. technically speaking all the meat people eat is dead really...so does that count?

i really can't remember the first dead thing i've seen. i remember seeing a dog actually get run over and bleed out...i was traumatized but that was not the first time i saw something dead. people are always running over animals and being careless.

Probably my cat.

My grandmother was the first dead person I ever saw. Seeing someone you know dead is quite traumatizing. I don't think the movies still quite get dead people right. No one dies pretty.

When i was a child my dad sucked up a bird into his grille in his old 78' f-150. First thing i remember being dead, asides bugs of course.

It was most likely a kangaroo, dead on the side of the road. They tend to get hit by cars at night.

I was maybe eight and I was at my grandparents and mommy and I were walking home and a egg was on the sidewalk so I cradled it in my hands and when we got to my grandparents house I opened it carefully and a little baby bird was inside dead, it was probably going to hatch any day :(

A ladybug. I killed it thinking it was going to eat me. I was just a baby.... or maybe that was an ant? But it was so long ago who knows. If i didn't kill it just saw a dead thing, it was a bug.
