cuz sometimes, if i visit a question and see one of my (very bright and intelligent) friends saying something, i will give them a nice little ^5 , just for running into them.
am i doing it wrong?

I give all the good ones a thumbs up, make a point of doing it to my buds for sure. I never give a thumbs down, cos karma and all........
however I do have a lil thumbs down troll of my own......I'm flattered that some idiot takes the time to follow me around just to do that.

haha i always give thumbs up to all answers that i see (except for rude/offensive ones), bc that way if the person gets a best answer then they get a free extra point!
and why not.. it makes the person happy and it takes very little effort from me.
everyone should do it...
(i'm def. getting 10 billion thumbs down for this lol!!)

It means you agree with their answer, that it is a very good answer, or that they made you laugh, so yeah, pretty much a high five.
