Sonia (pronounced Soaneeah) i.e. Beautiful. It has a double purpose as it looks like a Western name but is actually Indian. Good eh?

I know someone called Mohni and she is the sweetest, kindest and warm-hearted / good-souled person you will ever meet. She doesn't have a selfish or bad bone in her body.

How about Mehndi? I know it means Henna but pretty or even Preity? Got lots here for you to think about and just thought of another: Indi

Indian as in from India, not as in Native American - right?

Some that I particularly like are:

LALITA ललिता f Indian, Hindu Mythology
Feminine form of LALIT (meaning "playful, charming, desireable")

LILA लीला f Indian
Means "play, amusement" in Sanskrit.

MANJULA मञ्जुला f Indian

MAYA (1) माया f Indian, Hindu Mythology
Means "illusion" in Sanskrit. In Buddhist tradition this is the name of the mother of Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha). This is also another name of the Hindu goddess Durga.

NEELA नीला f Indian
Variant transcription of NILA ("dark blue")

NISHA निशा f Indian
Means "night" in Sanskrit.

PURNIMA पूर्णिमा f Indian
Means "the night or day of the full moon" in Sanskrit. {this is a personal favorite of mine}

REVA रेवा f Indian, Hindu Mythology
Means "movement, one that moves" in Sanskrit. This is another name of the Hindu goddess Rati.

RIYA रिया f Indian
Means "singer" in Sanskrit.

SANDHYA संध्या f Indian, Hindu Mythology
Means "twilight" in Sanskrit

SARIKA सारिका f Indian
Means "parrot, myna bird" in Sanskrit.

SATI सती f Indian, Hindu Mythology
