School would be starting soon and it was the last weekend I would be able to really enjoy myself with my friends. Me and my best friend tracy had all our plans in action, then she came down with a stomach virus, so here I was stuck at home alone on a saturday night. I grab the remote to see if something was on television, You take the good, you take the bad, you take it all, what you have is the "FACTS OF LIFES", great the facts of lifes on, haven't seen it lately I wonder whats going on. Mrs. garrets store "ednas edibles" burn down and the girls and Mrs. garret are very upset. they decided to rebuild the store and turn it into a hip/pop culture type place , the named it "over our heads" . this cute guy is also on the show now , he has dark wavy hair and he is real cute. damn, NBC special report has interrupted my show, something about first lady nancy reagen inviting 17 other country first ladies to a conference to focus international attention on drug and alcohol abuse. Not now Nancy! So while thats on go and fix myself some popcorn and a tab soda. when the special report was over, my show was over to. ALF. was on. yuk. I can't believe I miss my show. Ring, Ring, Ring, Tracy called said she felt better, yea, plans back on, were going to party like its 1999. or 1985. totally!

This week, 1985: I was living in Campinas, Brasil completely oblivious to The Facts of Life tv show and/or its cast. And was that Nancy Reagan I saw on a cover of Time magazine as I was preparing to return to the United States? Eh, maybe not.
Yup, it was tough to say goodbye to friends that in all likelihood I wouldn't be seeing for a long time, if ever.

Nancy Reagan had the cast from the show do a skit for herself an Dicky right there in the white house bathroom.
It was filmed live on TV. So I got to see them splashing around in a bathtub full of gin. I never understood the reason for it.
Perhaps, they were creating an anti-alcohol campaign.? C.:)!!

The only thing I can remember is that the Facts of Life was on TV, but I can't remember much about the show, I don't think it was really in my age group I was almost 30 then!

I certainly was not worried about Nancy Reagan at the time, the old hag. I was more worried about going to college for the first time and finding a college woman.

I think heard a rumor that Nancy had affair with Sinantra.
I hated that show "The Facts of Life" Tooty was so annoying. There was still a big drug culture then too.
