In the East, nothing is set in stone. The Knicks have just a good a shot as the Celts as winning the division. Like the Knicks, Celts have plenty of stars but untested chemistry. It's not a definite work. The Nets and Raptors both have a good shot of taking it. The only team that definitely won't contend is Iverson's leftovers.

I think so, i mean, look at it this way. You can already count out Philidelphia and New York because they will not do better then anyone. So it leaves you with New Jersey and Raptors to beat out and i like my odds that Boston is going to have a better then .500 (41-41) record that the New Jersey Nets had last year so my guess is the will also beat out New Jersey. Last but not least the Raptors, they have alot of talent but they cant compare to Boston's new aquicisions so for those reasons i think that Boston will beat out Toronto by 3-4 games and take the Atlantic Division...

The Celtics are definitely better with K.G. but that doesn't necessarily make them a lock. You have to look at the Nets and the Heat also. There might be a team that sneaks up on everybody this season...look at what Golden State last year. They knocked off the Mavericks, a team that everyone thought was going to win the championship!

They still have to go out and play the games and winning those games is not always that easy, even when you have great players on your team. I would say, at this point in time, that the Celtics are not a lock to win the division.

No. I think the New Jersey Nets have a better team, if they stay healthy, and don't underachieve like last season. The Celtics have 3 star players, and that's it. They are weak at center, and point guard, and may very well have the weakest bench in the league. Also, while I liked Doc Rivers as a player, I think he's only an average coach. The Nets have a rock solid starting five, some talented role players off the bench, and better coaching.

The Atlantic and the Eastern Conference, not only has the balance of power shifted to the east it has shifted to Boston.

They have the most hype. One injury to the big 3 and it's over. Plus the bench is not very strong. You have to have depth to win. I think they will make the play offs, but will there be burnout?

They might. but they still have to compete with the raptors, knicks, and nets. i'm pretty sure they will make the eastern conference finals playing the bulls there.
