I took spanish for 2 years of high school. but I'm not taking spanish this year, because I need to satisfy my arts credit. So will it look bad that I took a foreign language for only 2 years of high school?

It depends on how selective the college is. Some colleges only need 2 and the more selective ones want 3 or more. So long as you're not planning on applying to somewhere like Harvard, it won't kill your application.

No, that won't look bad... However, I took spanish 6,7,8th grade and 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th and I STILL had to take foreign language in college... So, just ask your guidance counselor if that satisfy's the college/university you are attending... Good luck

No, in fact most colleges only require two years of foreign language, but a college that needs three might not like it.

No--it won't make you look any worse. The only difference is that if you have to take a foreign langauge as a requirement at a college, you'll be a little rusty.

Usually NO, it will not hurt. That said, it might depend on the school you wish to attend and what your major will be. It is not too early to actually call the College you are thinking about attending and ask them the question.

well i did the same thing. but i think my spanish grade in middle is counting toward graduation. bc on my high school transcript it puts in my spanish grades in middle school. your sitation is a bit different. i think it would only look bad if u didnt take the spanish in middle school.
