You can try running them in "compatibility mode". Right-click the program or shortcut to the program, select "Properties", and click the "Compatibility" tab. In the drop-down box, change the operating system to XP, or the last system the program worked on, and apply your changes.

there is nothing you can do. Vista is a new operating system that shouldn't have been released yet. The only thing you can do is keep it updated and wait until the first service pack comes out. Or switch to xp

you can also keep vista and install xp as well
(two windows)i know someone that did it.
and he can now work with both
