I doubt they are any more emotional or less rational, just a different perspective on things. Try and look at from their perspective and you might learn something.

Women, by their very nature, are nurturing. They see a child fall down, they react, they feel and they will move worlds to take that pain away.
When presented with a situation, a woman will not only look at how the situation will play out, but how it affects others, especially in the world around her. I'm not saying women can't be rational, its just that we tend to have knee jerk reactions.
Unless its a math question, there is no rational.
By the way, men are the same way, the only difference is their reaction is defensive..."its not my fault, I did nothing wrong, or what does that have to do with me?"

I don’t think so. They will react the same as men do depending on what they are reacting to. But the fact the women, sometimes, tend not to react on rational manner as they are psychologically different than men. Different women have different ways to react to things.

Generalizing does not help to find the truth. In emergencies, I am the most rational of all the men I know. They count on my clear head and nerves of steel. And, emotions are bi-gendered. To suppress emotions or distort them leads not to rationality but to disease.
Edit: As I am only human, that part about a clear head and nerves of steels pertains to all situations except those with bugs involved, to be honest.

Women by nature are nurturers, we think with our hearts! We want everyone to be happy, regardless how we feel.
Men are head thinkers, not emotional. They want to fix everything, you know have the answer to all the questions.
There are some things in life that can't be fixed, and women know that. Men can't accept that. So that is why we are so opposite!

Studies have proven women are more driven by hormones and emotions than men. That is just our biological make-up.
