Race and sex are only an issue in any situation if the people involved are immature. Mature adults don't have these issues. Keep in mind that maturity has nothing to do with age.

Because they really do exist. The men who say there is no glass ceiling are the white protestant males who have never seen it.

As long as there are people out there (and that would be a large percentage of the voters) who will not vote for someone simply b/c that candidate is not a washington network, the typical WASP male--then there will be people voting for someone simply b/c that person IS exactly what the others hate.

Sometimes its time for a change just to stir things up. What made Kennedy talked out? Being Catholic. That was a big deal b/c it just simply hadn't happened. Whoever thinks it hasn't been an issue prior to this election is fooling themselves.

that is oftentimes religious, yet no longer completely. interior the united kingdom there grow to be a White Paper (in truth an thought) exceeded contained in direction of the decrease living house, the living house of Commons - that's analogous to Congress (i'm assuming you're American). even with the incontrovertible fact that, that is no longer completely religious, as we discovered interior the united kingdom. the U. S. hides in the back of its religious factors and few suspect any justification previous that and it suffices, some what. however the united kingdom the White Paper grow to be met with extensive grievance, even with the united kingdom being a much extra secular society. The Justification of many, different than religious and fairly by employing secularists, grow to be that the government had no 'mandate' to enforce gay marriage, which grow to be the 2nd reason human beings do no longer want gay marriage - a coverage which does no longer influence them in any way what so ever. the actuality of that argument, the 'they have not any mandate one' is they're bigots. that is undeniable and straightforward and that i in my opinion could argue that the completed argument is expounded to bigotry, in case you look into the religious factors. Many are bigots, purely some cover in the back of faith to justify it. My very own opinion is that their should not be any opposition to it and admittedly i'm ashamed to belong to a rustic the place it hasn't been applied - of direction, many interior the united kingdom could argue that it relatively is a Church of britain usa (protestant). as quickly because it relatively is applied, we are able to all ask what the fuss grow to be all approximately - and in two decades will question why it wasn't legal faster or perhaps after, our kin would be bowled over to benefit that it had at one factor been unlawful. relatively, gay marriage is a metaphor for modernisation - I was hoping I replied your question, I enjoyed writing it, whether my blood is now at a boiling factor.

Because people use the terms sexist and racist to tarnish the image of those who disagree with them without ever thinking about what the terms actually mean. Race and sex SHOULD NOT MATTER! But refusing a job to a black man because he's black is racist, giving a job to a black man because he's black is affirmative action. People think they're doing something good and just, and consequently call it by another name, but it's still racism and sexism. People are just blind to the truth because they won't admit that they're just as racist and sexist as the opposition, if to the other extreme.

Race and Sex of a candidate should not be an issue. Nor should religion. But these are things that are part of the candidate that we are allowed to take into consideration. I get so tired of the old issues but then what else are they to talk about.

Because it is a factor even though people don't admit. Many newschannel have done stories on this! Is really pathetic, we like to think that gender and color doesn't matter but it actually does. We are humans and we judge on a person's appearance.

it is not an issue example I will not vote for hillary because she :
voted no on criminal penalty for injuring unborn baby during a crime
voted no for reducing spending by 40 billion
voted yes on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping
voted yes on restrictive rules for filing personal bankruptcy
voted no on delaring english official US language
voted yes in allowing illegal aliens to participate in social security
- I would not vote for her for the above reasons you can get Obamas voting record at http//:ontheissues.org and I would list the reasons also but my answer would be to long but one reason is he doesnt have the experience - it is the same reason I would not vote for edwards
