He needs a plan . Have armed security guards and police in every housing project.
Have patrols on every street in the city.
Get undercover cops all over. This is a war of gangs taking over the city. The people can win the war because there are more good people than bad people.
what is our country coming to ,when good people need to stay inside because the gangs take over the streets ? Time for good people to stand up.

Did Corey Booker do any of the killing? If not, then he's not at fault. It takes an entire community working together to make the environment safe for it's inhabitants. Newark has big problems (as do many, many areas in America). But until the law-abiding citizens step forward and take control of the little neighborhoods where they live, it's not going to get better.

Why should he? The killings would have happened whether he was mayor or not.
What can be done to allieviate crime activity. People being vigilant, watching out for their neighbors, reporting suspicious activity, setting up neighborhood watch programs, educating the citizens, especially children and teens. In all areas, not just the inner city.
If you are from Newark, get involved with your community. If everyone acts to end the criminal behavior, then the criminals will go elsewhere.

lol omg that's funny he is a new mayor right hasn't even had a chance to do anything... i think if the African American people that see the crime daily there............would come forward and say who they seen shooting someone would solve everything. i live in Virginia close to newportnews a very bad place. I'm in Hampton in a quite place. if i seen a crime i would report it just to keep that out of where i live hell yes i would say who it is if i knew.

1. Stop illegal alien influx
2. where's jesse and Al? (not that we need them)
3. Offer education and trade reform to prisoners not serving life sentences.
