The Browns will NOT suck this year. In fact, this year they will have their best year since they were in the AFC Wild Card against the Steelers years ago. They will go 7-9 and unfortunately finish 4th.....Again. Its been sad to see such a great franchise suffer but don't worry this is a turn around year. From here on other NFL teams better not take the Browns lightly or they may be looking up at the scoreboard very confused.
GO BROWNS!

Everyone who keeps saying the O-line needs work isn't paying much attention. The Browns signed the best free agent o-lineman in Steinbach. They signed the best o-lineman in free agency last year in Bentley, although he was hurt. They drafted the best o-lineman in Thomas. The o-line will be SOLID this year, and the best in the league next year once they gel and Bentley is 100%.
Lewis had one bad year on a team that really didn't want him anymore. He'll get at least 1,200 yards this year, probably a lot more.
Edwards will have a breakout year since whoever is at QB will have WAY more time to throw than in recent years. Brady Quinn will likely be in halfway through the season, and he'll be decent. Winslow will likely make the Pro Bowl with over 1,000 yards receiving (he had 875 last year).
This year's team has a lot of potential. 7-9 would not be surprsing. 8-8 could happen. A wild card spot is not out of the question. They had a horrible record in the division last year, but in mostly close games. They've improved more than any other team in the division (and possibly the whole league) and the Bungles have arguably gotten worse. The Steelers were overachievers a couple years ago, and need to do the same if they want to get back to the top.

I'll answer your points first, and then I'll reply with some of my own.
Offense:
-Jamal Lewis is a downgrade from Reuben Droughns. Lewis doesn't have any game left.
-True, Braylon Edwards is great.
-True, Winslow is one of the best TEs in the league
-True, Joe Thomas is a very good young prospect, but your offensive line still needs a lot of work.
Defense:
-Your secondary is tolerably good.
-Your linebackers are reasonably good, too.
And now for my points:
1. Crennel is one of the worst coaches in the league. He can't write up a decent gameplan to save his life. The Browns have always looked like they are getting outcoached whenever I have watched them.
2. And this is my most important point: the Browns play in the toughest division in the league. This is going to hurt their chances to win many games.
3. In reality, both the Browns' offense AND the Browns' defense are below-average units. This isn't going to translate into many wins for them.
Record prediction: 4-12 or 5-11.

i dont think lewis is a great RB, maybe a good one. if he were still great, baltimore would have kept him.
edwards is still young and could be a great WR, time will tell.
winslow hasnt really done anything yet. the 2 things he is known for is 1) being kellens son and 2) getting in a cycling accident.
joe thomas as good as people think he is, is still just a rookie. maybe he will be good, maybe he wont.
and quinn, was he really worth losing next years pick? i mean there is a reason why he fell, it wasnt an accident. is he really as good as people think he is? how can he live up to his contract? after holding out, he better be all that.
i know the browns have a revamped oline and could be a good one. so the browns are built for the future. part of the reason why cleveland wont have a good record is because of the division they play in. bengals, ravens, steelers are all playoff caliber team. so the browns wont make the playoffs this year, but maybe in the future.

The wideouts drop too many passes. The coach is horrible, which i think is the main reason. Seiously horrible. Hopefully our old TE coach can help your team out on offense. Edwards is not good at all. Winslow, i will give you, he is pretty decent. The line is improved, Thomas should be a beast. Need to stop the run on D. Wimbley is a plus in your pass rush. D-backs seem to be decent, and have a little depth with Holley in the nickel and the rook. Coach has to go and i think he is done after this year. I wont mention QB because P Manning could be throwing to these guys and they wont catch it.

While the Browns are starting to put together a descent team, there are still a lot of questions. First your quarterback position still isn't set, and timing is a huge factor on offense. Your leader on defense just got hurt (mcginnest) which puts the defense in a tougher position. I think they are starting to move in the right direction but inexperience at qb will ultimately keep them out of contention this year.

Improved yes. Good no.
- Lewis is washed up. He hasn't done anything productive on the football field since his 2,000 yard season.
- Need some help at OL, QB, and RB.
- Edwards is good but without a good QB and OL it wont matter.
- Winslow is good when healthy. See above for bad part.
- Thomas might be good but is still a rookie. Other 4 guys aren't good.
- Defense should be OK but McGinest is getting old.
With that division improved won't cut it. They will still finish last.

Roster doesn't mean anything. Winslow and Edwards would be great on other teams.
Your OLINE is HORRIBLE. Thomas will get so much thrown his way and he has NO ONE to help him out.
Who is your QB??? If you guys go with Brady.....2-14.
With Frye maybe 5-11 or 6-10.
Like another poster said, Romeo is a horrible coach. Your defense should be fine, but that's it.
P.S. Jamal is finished. If he doesn't have a hole directly in front of him to run through, he is useless...seriously. He can't shuffle his feet to save his life. those zone block days and oline in baltimore days are OVER for him. lol
you guys are horrible and should be ashamed of yourself.

Because the best sign in Cleveland is this one: Pittsburgh 300 miles
Cleveland is a good team, but they're in a division with some really heavy hitters. The Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals are all awesome teams. That's why they never make it to the playoffs... they always lose almost every game in their division.

yea. 6 wins in a tough AFC north
but here is my beef with your arguement
you named all those offensive weapons, but lewis, edwards, and winslow are ALL useless without a good QB. edwards and winslow cant catch the ball if its not thrown to em, and lewis cant run when defenses are expecting it, plus winslow and thomas will have trouble blocking for lewis when defenses pressure the run
and the only guy on your defense with enough experience is mcginest. ive never even heard of those other guys
